An attractive 18th century French almanack. The gilt device to the covers incorporates cartographic & astronomic elements, presumably emblematic of the publisher Desnos, who was also a celebrated mapmaker. Along with numerous excerpts from poems relating to the four seasons, this lovely work contains a dedication to Marie-Antoinette, Dauphine of France at the time, and an engraved plate with her portrait.
